Honourable Dr Bashir Abdullahi Gaddafi has officially led thousands of supporters and loyalists into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in his ward – Kumo East, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.

Addressing the huge gathering at Kembu, who converged to welcome him into the ADC’s fold, Dr Gaddafi announced that following his defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) he developed interest in the Social Democratic Party (SDP), but following wide consultations with his constituents and other stakeholders, he decided to join the ADC.

“Without mixing words, I’m here in Kembu the headquarters of my ward – Kumo East, to announce to you that before I was in PDP, I later developed interest in the SDP, but I’m here today to announce and declare to you that I have joined the ADC”.

While assuring of his loyalty and that of his supporters to the party, the new ADC catch assured of his readiness and commitment to serving people of Akko at whatever capacity they deemed him fit.

Earlier in his address, the State Chairman of the ADC Hon. Ɗanladi Ya’u, stressed the capacity of the ADC to seize power from the ruling APC, from local, state up to the national level come 2027.

“The time for APC and PDP has elapsed. It’s now time for the ADC to rescue our people, our state and the nation from the cruel clutches of selfish leaders whose interest are always above that of the masses. We are ready to send them packing soon. We are ready to revive the hope of all Nigerians for our common benefit”.

He cited issues of economic hardships, insecurity, poor and anti-masses policies as well as lack of basic amenities as key factors that motivated the ADC to retire the ruling APC from the corridors of power.

The party leader announced that ADC will soon begin registration and revalidation of its membership, appealing to all members and those interested in the party to exercise more patience as preparations are on top gear to start issuance of the new membership cards.

Hon Ɗanladi said the party is not issuing any membership card at the moment, describing those issuing such as not bonafide members of the party, noting that ADC under its new national leader David Mark, will start membership registration and revalidation by January, 2026.

He encouraged potential members to register with the party online, via its official website.

In their goodwill messages, some ADC stalwarts in Kumo East and Akko Local Government to include Hon Ali Muhammad Bello (Ali Senator), Musa Ibrahim Beso, Ishiyaku Bindo, Haruna Sani Kembu, Sale Ɗanladi, Usman Muhammad Silver, Daniel Nikol Kidda, Hajiya Hauwa’u Tumu and Yunusa Kumo amongst others welcomed Dr Gaddafi for joining the ADC, assuring him of their full support at all the time.

They expressed strong belief in the ADC’s manifestos, pledging to mobilize grassroots supporters for the party’s victory come 2027.

The heavy convoy made up of thousands of party loyalists and supporters transversed through Kumo and Kembu before and after the occasion.
