In a move to ensuring a successful Christmas celebration in Gombe State, Velocity Humanitarian Foundation has donated 600 bags of 25 kilogram rice to Christian Communities in the state.
Presenting the food stuff at the Gombe State CAN Centre on behalf of its founder Engineer Aliyu Muhammad Combat, Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Ibrahim said the gesture aimed to support and identify with the Christian faithfuls during the yuletide season to promote unity, compassion and togetherness.
He explained that “This donation forms part of velocity foundation’s ongoing humanitarian interventions, carried out to support vulnerable individuals”.
In his response, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Gombe State Chapter, Reverend Father Joseph Alphonsus Shinga, expressed appreciation to Engineer Aliyu Muhammad for the gesture, assuring that the rice would be judiciously distributed to Christian faithfuls across the state.
While praying for continuous success of the foundation, Reverend Shinga called on well-meaning individuals and organizations in the state to copy from the Foundation.
Earlier, the Secretary of the Foundation, Safiyanu Yau, (Existing), commended Engineer Aliyu Combat, describing him as passionate humanitarian who always attends to people in need.
He noted that the support aimed to reduce the effects of economic hardships to citizens the state.
