A coalition of selected journalists and Islamic advocates in Bauchi State has produced a book detailing the lifestyle and legacies of the renowned late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ɗahiru Usman Bauchi.
The book titled “Rayuwa Wajen Hidimta wa Addini, Tarihin Maulana Sheikh Ɗahiru Usman Bauchi” highlights his dedication to Islamic affairs and scholarship in Nigeria.
The publication was presented to the family of the late cleric during a special prayer session held 40 days after his passing in Bauchi.
The event which attracted Islamic scholars, students and followers of the renowned Islamic preacher was organized in honour of Sheikh Ɗahiru Usman Bauchi’s lifelong commitment to the propagation of Islam.

Speaking at the occasion, the leader of the coalition, Imam Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir, explained that the initiative was inspired by the immense impact the late Sheikh had on the development of Islamic education in Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
He noted that Sheikh Ɗahiru Bauchi’s influence extended beyond Nigeria to other parts of African countries.
Dr. Abdulkadir observed that while many authors had written books and journals about Sheikh Ɗahiru Usman Bauchi during his lifetime, the coalition felt it was important to document his lifestyle and contributions after his passing as a way of preserving his legacy for future generations.

According to him, the book provides deeper insight into the personal discipline, humility, and devotion that characterized the life of the late Islamic preacher.
Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir, was represented by Bayero Idris Dajin and Abubakar Abdulkadir of Bauchi State Television (BATV).
They added that the publication serves not only as a biography but also as a source of guidance for youths seeking knowledge, leadership, and service in Islam.
The representatives emphasized that the book captures both the public and private aspects of the late scholar’s life.
The coalition leader further disclosed that a Book Production and Documentation Committee was established specifically for the project. He said the committee worked diligently to gather accurate information, testimonies, and historical records to ensure the book reflects the true life and mission of Sheikh Ɗahiru Usman Bauchi.
Imam Dr. Mujtaba Abdulkadir commended members of the committee for their commitment and teamwork, noting that their collective effort made the successful production of the book possible despite limited resources.
He used the opportunity to call on wealthy individuals and philanthropists within and outside Bauchi State to support the committee financially. According to him, such support would enable the re-production of 50,000 additional copies of the book for wider distribution.
Dr. Abdulkadir stressed that mass circulation of the book would help preserve Islamic history and ensure that the teachings and values of Sheikh Ɗahiru Usman Bauchi continue to inspire generations to come.
In his remarks on behalf of the Sheikh Ɗahiru family, the Khalifa of Sheikh Ɗahiru Usman Bauchi, Sheikh Ibrahim Ɗahiru Bauchi, expressed profound gratitude to the coalition for coming up with this initiative.
He appreciated the group for its thoughtful effort in documenting the lifestyle and contributions of their father, describing the book as a valuable tribute to his enduring legacy.
