The Management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi has expressed concern over the increasing activities of fraudulent individuals posing as representatives of the university.

This was contained in a statement by Alhaji Zailani Bappa, the Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi and made available to Jewel Times.

The statement said fraudsters are extorting money from job seekers by promising them employment opportunities within the university.

There have been reports of misguiding individuals claiming to have connections with the university, falsely offering admission opportunities to prospective students.

In response to these fraudulent activities, the university management is informing the general public that they are not currently hiring new staff members.

Furthermore, the university has not engaged anyone to facilitate the employment process on its behalf, the same applies to the admission process, as the university has its official procedure.

The management strongly advises the public to be cautious of these fraudulent individuals and urges them to report anyone who approaches them with financial requests in exchange for a job or admission at the university.

As such, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the official website of the institution at www.atbu.edu.ng for genuine information.
