The Gombe State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) has donated 60 bags of nutritional supplements, popularly known as “Garin Inuwa,” to Gombe Local Government Area to combat malnutrition among children aged one to five.

 

The intervention aligns with the administration’s broader push to eradicate severe malnutrition across the state, according to RUWASSA General Manager and Project Coordinator, Engineer Mohammad Ahmad Gibirimu.

 

“RUWASSA has successfully distributed the supplement across the 11 local government areas and 13 local council development areas of Gombe State as directed by the Governor,” Engineer Gibirimu stated.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Gombe Local Government Chairman, the Council Secretary, Alhaji Ali Dawaki, commended the agency’s proactive leadership and the sustained commitment of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to grassroots development.

“This is happening as a result of the good and quality leadership of His Excellency, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for always being at the center stage to regulate developmental plans for Gombe State at large,” Alhaji Dawaki said.

 

Praising the agency’s statewide reach, the Secretary urged RUWASSA to maintain its momentum under Engineer Gibirimu’s leadership.

He assured that he would brief the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bappa, immediately to guarantee that the supplements are judiciously distributed and reach the intended beneficiaries without delay.
