The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has officially welcomed Air Vice Marshal Bukam Amos Sani (Rtd) into its fold.
A statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by Abdulkadir Ahmad Dukku, the party’s Publicity Secretary said “A distinguished figure from the Cham community in Balanga South, Balanga Local Government Area, the retired Air Vice Marshal’s defection is a boost to PDP’s growing influence in Gombe State” .
Explaining the motivation behind his decision, Air Vice Marshal Sani (Rtd) pointed directly to the leadership credentials of Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami.
He praised the professor for his “exceptional leadership qualities, proven competence, integrity, visionary leadership, wealth of administrative experience, and remarkable record of public service”.
He further expressed confidence that “Professor Pantami possesses the capacity, experience, and commitment to provide purposeful leadership, foster unity, drive sustainable development, and improve the lives of the people of Gombe State”.
Consequently, the retired AVM pledged his “unwavering support for Professor Pantami’s governorship ambition and all PDP candidates in the 2027 general elections”.
The formal reception of the new member was conducted by the Gombe State PDP Chairman, Major General A.K. Kwaskebe (Rtd), in the presence of Professor Pantami and other senior party leaders.
The party leadership stated that this defection highlights the increasing confidence that stakeholders have in their vision for “inclusive governance, progress, and prosperity”.
As they welcome him into the “PDP family,” the party emphasized its eagerness to collaborate with the new entrant to “secure victory for Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami and all PDP candidates in the 2027 general elections”.
