
…As Forum’s Chairman, Gombe SSG Welcomes DG NSGF Ezekiel Gomos
The Forum of Secretaries to Government of the 19 Northern States under the Chairmanship of Gombe SSG Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has met at the General Hassan Katsina House, Kaduna, to draw up agenda for the meeting of their principals schedule for Monday the 30th of March.
Speaking at the commencement of the meeting, the Chairman of the SSGs Forum Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njoɗi welcomed his colleagues from the 19 Northern States describing their unwavering commitment to service of their respective states and the country as highly commendable.
He pointed out that the appointment of a substantive Director General for the Northern States Governors Forum, forms part of a broader reform by the governors’ forum to deepen the delivery of policies and programs that have direct bearing on the lives of the people within the Northern Region.
A statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer SSGs Office Joshua Danmalam said the Chairman of the Northern SSGs Forum therefore welcome the Director General of the NSGF and congratulated him for his well deserved appointment, describing the DG as a season administrator whose wealth of experience is subliminal.
He assured the DG that the Northern States Governors Forum that the SSGs from the 19 Northern States will continue to work in partnership to compliment, improve and enhance the overall policy direction of the Northern States Governors Forum.
He enjoin the DG to always interface with the SSG’s Forum in order to realize the lofty goals of the Northern States Governors Forum which among others things is to improve the social economic and infrastructural development of the North.
Speaking for the first time at the Northern SSGs Forum meeting, the newly appointed Director General Ezekiel Gomos thanked both forums for the opportunity to serve.
He described the role of the SSGs forum as critically important to the formulation and implementation of policies and programs for the benefits of the people.
While appealing for patience and tolerance in the march towards a better and more prosperous North and Nigeria, Ezekiel Gomos assured of a robust collaboration for the smooth implementation of policies and programs as enunciated by the Governor’s forum.
