
…Says Gombe Among Best Beneficiaries Of Democracy

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has been commended for the provision of a one-megawatt solar power project in Talasse and the construction of key roads infrastructure linking Balanga with other parts of the state.
The commendation was given by a retired naval officer, Rear Admiral Nuhu Njiddari Bala (rtd), while receiving leaders of the Hausa Community in Balanga Local Government Area.
Rear Admiral Njiddari noted that Balanga Local Government had suffered nearly thirty years without a stable electricity supply until the present administration implemented the solar power project, which is expected to serve the entire Balanga Local Government Area and some neighbouring communities.
According to him, the solar project will also be extended to the Balanga Dam to support irrigation farming, in addition to plans for a hydropower project to boost electricity supply in the area.
He explained that the irrigation component of the project would create employment opportunities, especially for youths, thereby enhancing economic activities in the area.
Rear Admiral Njiddari further described the ongoing road projects under Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s administration as a welcome development, particularly the Talasse – Degri road, which he said is economically significant as it connects several communities in the southern and central parts of Gombe State.
He added that the governor has executed numerous road projects across virtually all parts of the state, alongside significant improvements in healthcare infrastructure.
The retired military officer advised the people of Balanga to continue supporting the administration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya and to cooperate with his policies and programmes aimed at developing of the area and Gombe State at large.
The retired senior officer also said “The state capital has entirely changed with new infrastructures from the Three Arms Zone to the brand new Muhammadu Industrial Park in Daɗinkowa, so non among our eleven local government that has not gotten infrastructural development under the leadership of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Dan majen Gombe)”.
He affirmed commitment to bring in his experience in developing Balanga Local Government and the state in General.
Rear Admiral Njiddari also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his administration’s commitment to economic reforms and efforts to address lingering security challenges in the country.
He said the president has implemented a serious plans in curtailing the challenges in all geopolitical zones of the country.
