The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gombe Branch, has expressed deep appreciation to the Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Honourable Ali Isa JC, and philanthropist Hajiya Sa’adatu Aminu (popularly known as Zinariyar Filiya) for their outstanding contributions to the growth and empowerment of the legal profession in Gombe State.

In a statement issued by the NBA President, Barrister Al Hassan Mu’azu, the association described the gestures as “acts of leadership, compassion, and genuine commitment to justice.”

According to Mu’azu, Honourable Ali Isa JC’s decision to sponsor 30 young lawyers across the 11 Local Government Areas of Gombe State will not only strengthen legal advocacy in rural and urban communities but also build a stronger foundation for access to justice for all citizens.

“This is not just a donation; it is an investment in the legal fabric of our state,” Mu’azu said. “By empowering young lawyers, Hon. Ali Isa is empowering communities, and by extension, protecting the rights of the people. This is the kind of leadership we want to see from our elected representatives.”

The NBA President also showered praise on Hajiya Sa’adatu Aminu, Zinariyar Filiya for her timely financial assistance to the association, describing her as a “shining light whose generosity extends beyond personal gain.”

“Hajiya Sa’adatu Aminu has proven once again that when you support the justice system, you are supporting peace, fairness, and development. Her contribution is a clear message that the private sector and well-meaning individuals have a role to play in strengthening our legal institutions,” he said.

Mu’azu added that both contributions come at a crucial time when the NBA Gombe Branch is intensifying efforts to bridge the gap between lawyers and the communities they serve, ensuring that justice is not only accessible but effective.

The association pledged to put the resources to optimal use and called on other leaders, institutions, and philanthropists to emulate the examples set by Honourable Ali Isa JC and Hajiya Sa’adatu Aminu.

“In every society, justice thrives when good people stand up to support it. Today, we proudly say that Gombe State is blessed with such people. On behalf of the entire NBA Gombe Branch, I say a heartfelt thank you,” Barrister Mu’azu concluded.
