…Inaugurate White Paper Committee On Civil Service Rules, Financial Regulation

The committee set up by the Gombe State Government to investigate the illegal sales of land in Jagali District of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area has submitted its report.

This was according to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer SSG’s Office Joshua Ɗanmalam.

Presenting the report to Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the Committee Chairman who doubles as the Permanent Secretary Ministry for Local Government and Community Development Mr Mohammed Dantata Ndus said the committee painstakingly visited all the farm lands under investigation and interacted with the people of Jagali to ascertain the true position of things.

Dantata Ndus told the SSG that the Executive Order No. 4, which surrounds all issues of land administration in the state and the chieftaincy law, 2020 aided the outcome of their investigation emphasizing that the committee recommendations which if implemented by the government will further give directions to the state as regards to issues of land administration.

He expressed committee’s immense gratitudes to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa for giving them the opportunity to serve in that capacity.

Receiving the report, on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Secretary to the State Government Professor Abubakar Ibrahim Njoɗi appreciated the committee for handling the task with expertise and due diligence.

He assured the committee that the Government will study the report with a view to implementing the recommendations which will serve as a deterrent to other communities leaders and individual alike.

In a remark, the chairman of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Ɗifa who is also a member of the committee appreciated the State Government for acting swiftly by constituting a committee of investigation upon receiving the complains from the community.

He express the hope that the committee’s recommendations will address the issue in Yalmatu Deba and other local government areas in the state.

Ɗifa emphasized his council’s resolve to continue supporting the State Governor, his policies and programmes which are geared towards peace and development.

Meanwhile, the Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has also inaugurated a white paper committee on Civil Service Rules and Financial Regulations to fast track the proper implementation of the earlier report submitted by the Committee on Civil Service Reforms in Gombe State.

The SSG tasked the committee under the Chairmanship of the former Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Daudu Abdulsalam to bring out the immediate and long-term recommendations on how best the earlier report will be implemented for the progress of the state.

He charged them to work diligently by bringing their wealth of experiences to bear, as all the committee members were selected based on their excellent track records.

Responding, Chairman of the committee Alhaji Umar Abdussalam appreciated the State Government for finding them worthy to serve the state.

He assured that they will put in their best in the discharge of assignment given to them.
