In a significant move to improve academic excellences particularly in digital instillation, The Department of Engineering, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi has received over 200 sets of computers and other laboratory equipments from 2001/2002 alma mater of the university towards architecturing the engineering courses in the institution.

The Acting Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Sani Usman Kunya, stated this when he received the laboratory equipments from alma mater of the Department of Engineering.

Professor Kunya, commended the foresight of the alma mater for given back to the institution, saying the department will use the equipments judiciously.

Earlier speaking, leader of the alma mater Professor Nuraddeen Bashir Umar, Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil Kano State, said the 2001/2002 set has donated laboratory equipments worth over seven million to the department.

Professor Nuraddeen, said they felt it’s very imperative to give back to the university as their stepping stone in academic journey.

He said they achieved this milestone through contribution from the members of the set, where they raised 7.2 million Naira for onward donation to the department.
