…Pledges Continued Support To Federal Government Agencies

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has reiterated his administration’s continued support to the Nigerian Correctional Service for effective discharge of its responsibilities.

Speaking through the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njoɗi when he received the newly posted comptroller of the service in his office, Governor Yahaya said his government has been supporting the service and will continue in that spirit within available resources.

This was according to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer, SSGs office Joshua Ɗanmalam.

The state’s chief scribe added that the government is not unmindful of the numerous challenges of the service in the state which ranges from overstretched facilities and other needs, intimating the new comptroller to always forward areas needing the state government attention.

The Governor who commended the outgoing comptroller Lawal Idris Gusau for the services he rendered to the state, charged the in-coming Salisu Abdullahi to build on the good legacies left behind by his predecessor for the betterment of the service.

The Governor thereafter wish the outgoing comptroller well in his new place of assignment.

Earlier the outgoing comptroller Lawal Gusau informed the SSG that they were at the Government House for a formal introduction to the government of the new head of correctional service in the state who has already assumed duty.

Gusau expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Government and people of Gombe State for their support during his stay, and solicited for more of such support to the service.

On his part, the new comptroller Salisu Abdullahi appreciated the state government for the warm reception accorded him and assured of his readiness to serve the state with courage and determination.
