…As Chair Extols Gov. Inuwa for Autonomy

The Gombe State Urban Planning and Development Authority (GOSUPDA) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with the Gombe State House of Assembly towards ensuring orderly urban development in the state.

The Executive Chairman of GOSUPDA, Alh. Bappayo Samanja Maudo, stated this as he received the State House Committee on Housing and Urban Development at his office.

Speaking, the chairman of the committee, Hon. Muhammad Tahir, emphasized the importance of fostering a stronger relationship between the GSHA and GOSUPDA.

“This collaboration would lead to improved working synergy and ultimately deliver more benefits to Gombe State residents,” he said.

“GOSUPDA plays a crucial role in regulating and controlling urban development. We will continue to support the authority in addressing their needs through the powers vested in us,” he added.

Responding, the Executive Chairman of GOSUPDA, Alh. Bappayo Samanja Maudo, expressed his appreciation for the committee’s visit and its commitment to supporting the agency.

Maudo highlighted GOSUPDA’s dedication to implementing modern town planning policies and standards, aligning with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s vision of creating convenient urban centers.

“We are committed to working collaboratively with the House Committee, building on Governor Inuwa’s principle of allowing each arm of government to operate independently while maintaining synergy and understanding,” Maudo said.

The GOSUPDA Chairman also commended Governor Yahaya for granting the agency the autonomy to execute its activities efficiently.

“Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s bold act of granting GOSUPDA autonomy has proven to be a masterstroke. Under his direct guidance, the Authority has soared to new heights, achieving remarkable progress in urban development.”

He called on the general public to continue supporting the development initiatives of the Inuwa Yahaya administration and to adhere to established regulations when developing their properties.
