…Urges Caution on Early 2027 Politics

An APC Stakeholder in Gombe State, Barrister Abdullahi Jalo, has commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for exceeding expectations and fulfilling all his campaign promises while delivering transformative change across Gombe State.
Jalo cited the ongoing construction of a new three-arm zone and the recent award of a contract for an underpass road within the same area as prime examples of the Governor’s commitment to development.
He noted that these projects will significantly enhance the aesthetics of the area and improve traffic flow, creating a safer and more efficient environment for both official and private motorists.
He lauded the Governor’s administration for successfully clearing the gratuity backlog for civil servants from 2019-2020, describing it as a significant achievement.
“By addressing this crucial issue proactively, the current administration has alleviated a significant burden from the shoulders of the incoming government in 2027. If left unresolved, this backlog would have accumulated considerably, posing a serious financial challenge to the next administration”, he noted.
Barrister Jalo recalled witnessing firsthand the joy of retirees as they eagerly searched for their names on the notice board, ready to collect their long-awaited gratuities.
During an interactive session with journalists at his office in Gombe, Jalo called upon all political leaders to prioritize service delivery and utilize the opportunities afforded them by the people to implement meaningful development projects that directly benefit their constituents.
Addressing the upcoming 2027 elections, Barrister Jalo expressed confidence that the electoral process will be conducted peacefully and fairly.
He observed that some of the politicians who have prematurely commenced their campaigns may not necessarily be genuine contenders for the gubernatorial seat and may ultimately seek other elective positions such as Senate or House of Representatives.
Beyond his political engagements, Jalo, as Chairman of the North East Cooperatives Stakeholders Forum, highlighted the Forum’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector.
He revealed that the Forum has provided two million Naira worth of fertilizer to each state in the North East region and is currently exploring the procurement of tractors to assist farmers in the region.
Furthermore, the Forum recently donated food and other essential items to flood victims in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Jalo also announced a significant partnership with ACReSAL to secure financial support for farmers across all six states of the North East region.
Additionally, the Forum is finalizing plans to provide solar power to all Tsangaya schools in Gombe State, demonstrating its commitment to education and community development.
