The Former Bauchi State Deputy Governor Arch Abdu Sule Katagum has been turbaned as the 9th Waziri of Katagum by the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruq the II.
As the tradition of the Emirate the new Wazirin Katagum, has assumed duty with immediate effect.
The 12th Emir of Katagum Alh Umar Faruq II said the appointment of Architect Abdu Sule Katagum as the Wazirin katagum followed his dedication, loyalty and truck record.
Also turbaned at the event include Alhaji Bello Muhammad Disina as the new Marafan Katagum and Alhaji Nasiru Abubakar Bakura, Caretaker Committee Chairman of Gamawa Local Govt Council as Dujuman Katagum.
He called on the new traditional title holders in the Emirate to continue support traditional Institutions and government policies with a view to achieve the desired goals.
He appreciated the leadership style of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad of the state for his cordial relationship with traditional institutions in the state, which according to him is yielding positive result.
The celebrants appreciated the Emir of Katagum for founding them worthy for the appointments particularly as the 9th Wazirin Katagum after the demise of his predecessor.
He promised to support the emirate in order to move the council to greater levels.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Dr. George Akume represented by his Chief of Staff Mr. Christopher Tarfa, and other top government officials, traditional titles holders within and outside the state attended the occasion.
